Forma is local-first. You can use the entire app without an account, and in that case your data never leaves your device. If you choose to sign in and turn on Cloud Sync, we store your account details and your habit data securely so they can sync across your devices. We show no ads, use no analytics, and never track you.
Your habits, logs, reminders, and settings are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage. If you never sign in, this data stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.

We use this only to create and secure your account and to associate your synced data with you. We do not use it for advertising or tracking.
If you are a Forma Pro user and signed in, your habits and logs are stored in Google Cloud Firestore so they can back up and sync across your devices. This data is stored under your account and is only accessible to you while signed in. If you use Forma without signing in, no habit data is uploaded.
Forma can tick a habit off for you automatically using data you already record in Apple Health. This is optional: it only happens if you choose a Health-based habit and grant permission in the Health app, and you can revoke that permission at any time in Health → Sharing → Apps.
With your permission, Forma reads only these types, and only to check whether you have met that habit's daily target:
Forma never writes anything to Apple Health. Your health values are read on your device, compared against your habit's target, and then discarded — the values themselves are never uploaded, never stored on our servers, and never included in Cloud Sync. If you use Cloud Sync, all that syncs is whether the habit was completed and which metric you chose, exactly as it would for a habit you tick off by hand.
We never use health data for advertising or marketing, never share or sell it, and never use it for any purpose other than completing the habit you set up.
Forma Pro is available as a one-time purchase and, where offered, as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store — we never receive or store your payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel them any time in your Apple ID settings. Purchase and entitlement status is handled for us by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID and your App Store transaction — not your name, email, or payment details.

If you enable reminders, they are scheduled entirely on-device using iOS. We have no visibility into whether or when notifications are delivered.
The Forma widget reads your habit data from a shared local storage area (App Groups) on your device. No data leaves your device as part of widget functionality.
Forma uses Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to provide optional sign-in and cloud sync, and Sign in with Apple for optional sign-in. These services process the account data described above on our behalf. We do not use any advertising networks, and Firebase Analytics is disabled.
The Forma developer uses TikTok's Content Posting API to publish Forma's own marketing videos to Forma's official TikTok account. This integration accesses only the developer's own TikTok account. It does not collect, store, or process any data belonging to Forma's users, and no Forma user data is ever transmitted to TikTok. The OAuth access token is stored locally on the developer's machine and is not shared with any third party.
Forma is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
